With a mirrored cube. We had previous values to reach for both the background, foreground, and each of the sides of the cube. If needed, we also added a "whispy doo" (as seen on the right side of the cube, a faint line) and/or a gel (thus the reddish and orange-ish sides). We were also responsible for gradations (transition between foreground and background).

After 24 hours of much insanity.. this is our group shot. We figured out angles of incidence, and placed our heads where they'd be seen in each side of the cube (the bottom two are normally covered up and had to be black without detail).
